Monthly Fellowship

It is important for the people of Lord of Life to continue to grow together in faith and friendship, especially as we welcome new people into our community of faith. To that end, we have tried to provide opportunities for people to get together in informal settings each month of the year. Here’s our schedule:

January
Shrimp & Game Night - This is a night for adults of our congregation and friends to get together to each good food and play crazy games, including skittle ball!
July
Ironbirds Game - It looks like this year we’ll be able to participate in Faith Night at Ripken Stadium in Aberdeen. Let’s cheer on our Harford County home team!
February
Anniversary Potluck Dinner - We celebrate our congregation’s anniversary each year with a potluck dinner. This year we will also feature kids’ and adult games!.
August
Camping Trip - This trip already has a sign-up sheet going as we needed to reserve the camping sites at Cape Henlopen State Park in Delaware. The trip is August 10th-12th.

March
St. Patty’s Dinner & Movie - A night of green (and orange). We will eat Irish cuisine and watch the film “The Quiet Man.” This will be on March 17th at 5 pm.

St. Patty’s Dinner & a Movie!
We will have our second annual event of this kind on March 16th at 5pm.  This year, it will be a fundraiser for the youth group.  The dinner will include corn beef and cabbage, and a chicken dish, along with other goodies.  Please plan to join us for the fun and in supporting our youth!  Look for a sign up in the narthex.  See Terri Snyder for more information.

September
Crab Feast - This feast of the Maryland favorite is to take place at the home of the Gloses. And, at the best time for crabs in Maryland!
April
Bowling - There’s nothing like good old-fashioned bowling to get people together. We will head out to the Forest Hill Lanes for fun for the whole family.
October
Cape May Wine Fest - This is an adults-only event (clearly). The idea is to go to the wine fest and then take the ferry back across and spend the night at a campground.
May
Progressive Dinner - This is tentatively planned at this point. Check back for more information on the possibility of going from house to house for a night of food and fun.
November
Bowling - The time-honored tradition yet again. Unfortunately we don’t have any duck pin bowling close-by, so we’ll have to settle for 10-pin.
June
Tubing - We’re planning to head West for this tubing adventure. This is another fellowship opportunity that is open to the whole family.
December
Community Christmas Crafts - This is something we began just this last year as a community event for kids. They can make Christmas presents for the whole family!
