Congregational Council

The Council of Lord of Life serves the congregation as its official decision-making body outside of congregational meetings. Each council member is elected to a three-year term. Our council is made up of eight people elected from the membership of the congregation. One person is then elected from within that group to be the council president. And the same goes for a vice president and secretary. Outside of these eight people, there is a treasurer. Additionally, each of the council members serves as a liaison two one of our committees or groups. See below for a listing of current council members, their position, and their liaison assignment. Mutual Ministry

Your Mutual Ministry Team: Linda Stuempfle, Louise Glose, and Dom Corson.
You may say: What is a Mutual Ministry Team? A Mutual Ministry Team has the following tasks:

Dialogue about perceptions and concerns within the congregation.
Provide early warning of misunderstanding within the congregation.
Be a “listening post” for the pastor, church staff, and the congregation.
Discuss and resolve conflicts.
Appraise the ministry of the pastor/staff and the congregation.
Listen sympathetically to the pastor and church staff in times of personal or professional stress.
Identify continuing education that would assist the ministry of the pastor/staff.
Indicate concern for the spiritual, emotional and financial needs of the pastor and church staff.

In other words, they are there for you! They are there for us! So, help them to do their job by turning to them with any questions or concerns around these tasks listed above. Thanks!
